As someone who normally empathizes with Abbas when it comes to these negotiations, I'm quite disappointed. It sounds like he got exactly what he wanted: a relatively clear position from Israel on what Israel wants the borders to be. Of course Abbas doesn't like the position, but it's only Israel's starting position. As long as both sides' starting positions are out there, there is something to negotiate about.
