Danny Rubinstein's assessment reflects mainstream thinking in Palestinian society. Of course the Greater Israel crowd becomes enraged because in their mind a good Zionist is not supposed to present Palestinians to the world as reasonable people, who have evolved over the years and are prepared to make a big sacrifice, which is to accept a Palestinian state in 22% of what was once Mandate Palestine and live in peaceful coexistence with the State of Israel. The options are clear: 1. Israel within the 1967 borders and Palestine in the Westbank and Gaza with mutually agreed border corrections. Golan Heights back to Syria 2. the land between the coast and the river will become a de facto bi-national state with - in the end - equal rights for all. Here Jews and Arabs would be able to choose freely where ever they want to live.
