It is a shame it is no slam dunk. But it is hardly surprising given recent history. Even the idea of a state with temporary borders is no incentive unless there is an incentive for further negotiations. Consequently, it would seem logical that the temporary borders be far more generous to the Palestinian side so Israel will have an incentive to bargain and not have so many citizens living in Palestine. Imagine Israeli right wing settlers trying to get Palestinian building permits near Ramallah or Bethlehem. Kinda like an Arab in Jerusalem getting a building permit, huh?
