Israel wasn't bad in the first 35 minutes. On the contrary, you could have scored three goals. Croatian defense was very porous during this period of the match, but lack of precision on the part of Israeli strikers, and an excellent goalkeeping by Vedran Runje kept the result at 0-0. After the PK things just started to fall apart, and the second goal by Kranjčar was what you would call coup de grace. After that Israeli players seemed lost. PK itself was very questionable, and it seems that the referee somewhat favored Croatian side. I say this becasue he could have awarded similar PK to Israel late in the game. It seems to me that Israel doesn't know how to chase the result. They fall apart after conceeding a goal. Even though I usually support Croatia, having lived there for a considerable part of my life, this time I was all the way with Israel, and felt sad when you lost. You know how to play very beautiful football. Let's hope it goes better in Athens.
