The PA officially proclaims that Jerusalem has no Jewish history at the Western Wall, and that the Jews therefore have no rights there that need protecting. The PA officially proclaims that even with a PA state, they will "never" abandon their so-called "Right-of-Return" demand that millions of Arabs have a "right" to move to the Jewish State. The PA officially proclaims that it will "never" recognize Israel as the Jewish State, as it was proclaimed by its people, and thus will never seriously recognize Israel at all, to end the conflict. The PA does not even represent the half of the "Palestinians" under Hamas rule in Gaza, who reject ever recognizing and making peace with Israel even if they are given a PA state in a peace deal - and vow to keep trying to destroy Israel. With this fraud as the only "land-for-peace" deal the Arabs are offering, why shouldn't Israel build on empty land where it chooses, the Palestine Arabs have rejected real peace again and again since 1947, and therefore have no claim to any lands which they never ruled, which they never accepted (1947 Plan) and on which they never lived (no "settlements" displaced any Arabs from anywhere). They have no right to a "contiguous" state (having rejected that in 1947), and no right to any state at all unless they recognize Israel next door as the Jewish State. And no right to a negotiated settlement unless they negotiate unconditionally and in goodfaith (UNSC242) - which the PA refuses to do. The UN has no authority to give them a state, because the UN 1) does not lawfully control the land (having given that up in 1948), 2) does not have the means, and 3) does not have the balls. Nor does Obama.
