There have been similar German-Czech, German-Polish and Franco-German schoolbook commissions. Next to the Israeli-German one briefly mentioned in the article. Too bad the article does not go into the findings of that earlier commission and whether they had any impact. I mean, such a commission is nothing new... Anyway, I checked one of my own German history textbooks. It contains three informative pages on the Arab-Israeli conflict in a chapter regarding the so-called "North-South conflict".
