The situation is not analagous. Firstly, what does "Palestinian territory" actually mean? There is no nor has there ever been a sovereign country or state called "Palestine". What existed were non contiguous Arab settlements, towns, villages and cities as well as Jewish ones. Indigenous Arabs in the area considered themselves to be Syrian or part of a larger pan-Arab nation, not Palestinians". In fact, Jews living in the area were always known as "Palestinians". So, in the event of a Palestinian State being created, Jews would not be permitted to live there any more than they can live in Jordan , Saudi Arabia or Gaza. President Abas has already announced recently that Jews would not be permitted to live in a Palestinian state. And so you have the anomalous situation where Arabs can live in Israel, but Jews cannot live in Palestine. Talk of jusice, fairness or political correctness?
