    Jordan is Palestine. That is as plain as fact. But the Hashemites, although a seeming friend of Israel, actually stand in the way of a real solution of the conflict. Just as Gokan is the natural barrier to protect Israel from Syria so is the Jordan River a natural border. King Abdullah fears Syria and that is the basis upon whoch he is friendly to Israel. yet his friendship in not firm as proven by his reaction to the Mugrabi Gate call for jihad which he added his voice to by asking Israel to stop it. he is clearly the US' favorite among Arabs ( what a choice we are faced with!) but his removal may open the doors to a solution to the conflict.
