"U.S. public opinion has reached a tipping point." Really? I was not aware. So what are the Americans going to do now? Here in New Mexico, noone cares about Palestine/Israel. People just want to live their lives. Most people couldn't put Israel on the map. And why should anyone care? People have been killing themselves over this little piece of land since the beginning of time. What's new? Anyway, both sides are guilty in this: the Palestinians, for rejecting any compromise and demanding unreasonable things; and Israelis, for denying them full citizenship rights. To an objective observer, it would seem that there are no "good guys" in this. However, many people are still prejudiced against Jews, for our alleged "ruling of the world" (I can't find a job, personally); thus, they seek to make one side into saints (the poor, starving Palestinians) and the other into devils (the militaristic, evil Israelis). Like any black and white vision, it is wrong.
