Yet again, all involved parties are equally - yes, equally - responsible for wrongful, reprehensible acts. Netanyahu and Lieberman are responsible for disrespecting the US government and provoking the inevitable riots that would result from their remarks on building policy in East Jerusalem and elsewhere. The Palestinians are responsible for squandering an absolutely golden (and by now gone) window of opportunity for grabbing the attention of the world in a plea for support against what they see as gross injustice, instead choosing to riot at the behest of rabid clerics spewing outdated, medievalist rhetoric. The US is responsible for not taking a firmer stance towards both parties earlier in the game, and, at this moment, failing to criticize the Palestinians for their shortsighted and violent actions just as harshly as they have criticized the Israelis. Shame on everyone.
