Hamas may have told Israel it isn’t looking for another war in Gaza, but it’s clearly desperate to advance its attack tunnels. It’s also delighted to be sowing seeds of discontent and concern among the Israeli public.04:19 13.02.16 | 0 comments
Are they and other factions ready to accept these terms which Fatah has accepted on behalf of the PLO, the authorized representative of the Palestinian people, a number of years ago? I'm not sure, because for them to give up the power of launching missiles onto southern Israel, a destructive addiction for some time, would be difficult. A democratic political process of a lengthy diplomatic endeavour, is very different from utilizing violent means. They can't accept the terms now with the PA and then renege with a relapse of the cease-fire months down the road. It has to be a commitment to resolve the conflict only diplomatically - however long it takes (presuming within a year or sooner). That's my take on the situation.
