A friend of mine visits Iran on a regular basis and always asks me what I want him to bring me back as a present...I always request pistachio nuts. They are the best, I love them cooked in lemon juice...they are the best I have had to date. Not little bags like we get here in England but big big packets, umm they are good. And before anyone asks I do differentiate been politicians, regional meddling and the farmers who produce my pistachio nuts. For the most part I would expect they are ordinary people just trying to make a living under difficult circumstances, so do not criticise me for enjoying the fruits of their labours.
