The ICRC says it "recognises Israel's right to take measures to defend itself. But it says it needs to be balanced against the Palestinians' right to live a normal and dignified life". How can the palestinians in Gaza expect normality whilst they are waging war, outside of Gaza. The wall and security restrictions are a response to palestinian inspired suicide bombing. The lack of dignity and human rights in Gaza are the result of a miltary coup and authoritarian regime restricting personal freedom. Inadequate medical services is feature all around the world UK, USA, including delays and bureacratic obstacles to getting treatment. Abundant palestinian aid is funneled into buying wepons and paying for war. That is why there is a lack of rights and dignity, as these are quashed by the palestinian in favour of a war effort. Denial of serious honest peace moves and gesturing on so called reversionary principles will only prolong the agony and poverty.
