UJ is an interesting concept that encourages the public participation in correcting injustices from areas of the world in which they have no access. In its present form, it is too vulnerable to high-jacking by radicals or special interest groups. As used in the UK, it should be the basis for an investigatory complaint to the government which should be obligated to appoint a special prosecutor to conduct an initial formal investigation. Substantiated findngs can then be referred to a superior court or international court for trial. A limited detention might be indicated for suspects that have clear evidence such as dna or photographs of having tactually bloodied their hands personally. That detention must be followed by a committal hearing in the superior court or international court to determine probable cause. If none is found, the suspect must be released immediately into any country that will accept him.
