The country has legal checks and balances, the democratic political system would make it virtually impossible. The IDF is not the kind of almost unregulated institution that it is in Egypt and last but not least the bulk of the IDF is made up of civilians and the civilians would not support a coup so the coup would fail very quickly and anybody involved would be sent to prison. In Israel a military coup is virtually impossible so I really don't think its a theoretical possibility we need to worry ourselves with.
