Kibbutz Nirim was attacked by two Egyptian battalions. Likewise Kibbutz Degania was attacked by the Syrian army. Both were inside the Israeli side of the partition plan. At Nirim (inside the Israeli side)45 kibbutz members with one anti tank gun and some rifles held off an Egyptian infantry battalion of about a thousand troops, with six armored cars, 3" mortars and a heavy machine gun company. At Degania (the first kibbutz, and also inside the Israeli side) seventy kibbutz members with one anti tank gun and some Molotov cocktails held off 8 or nine Syrian tanks and two companies of infantry, buying precious time for Israel to organize a counter attack. Sowhile we're at it there's "So much for the few against the many" debunkers debunked.
