Michèle Alliot Marie is in great need to leave France for a while at the moment. Her proposition to ex Tunisian dictator, Ben Ali, of helping him to restore order in his country during the Jasmin revolution has won her the indignation of the media as well as of the general assembly in her country. However, a visit to the Middle East, where she will court more dictators and more oppressors is hardly the thing to help repair her image. Mo Barak's rule is no better than Ben Ali's, the Jordan king dismisses his government whenever it pleases him and Israel is building like mad on Palestinian turf. Is she naïve to the point of thinking that she can succeed where Obama has failed? She talks of peace but won't meet with the Hamas leaders and sends the Israeli side a clear message of support by meeting with Gilad Shalit's parents. Obviously, this is no seriously meant trip. The lady is a major embarrasment to her government and the purpose of her visit is to let the French forget about her for a few days. Then she can go back to do more blunders...
