Jordan may have a peace treaty with Israel but the countries people and rulers have no more love for Israel than Israel has for them. The Jordanians are part of the arab world and they want to see a controlled Israel which means they get rid of the thorn they have had in their side for the past 65 years because Israel will be more willing to accept what the arabs want even when its not in Israel's interest. So I would not exactly consider an arab prince to be an independent observer on whats best for Israel and the whole region.
