The refusal to pay taxes is different from tax protest, which is opposing the way our gov distributes our tax money. In other words, tax refusal is different from tax resistance. You are welcome to make suggestions as to how to use in a more justified way our taxes. If this seems too mild (because indeed the legal ways to protest against taxation are limited), you can resist taxation by donating the due amount to charity. This is illegal (so you must be ready to bear the consequences), however in this way you make clear that your goal is not to avoid taxation per se, but rather to protest against the way your taxes are used. Something of that kind appears in Blanc's behaviour. He does not oppose serving in the IDF, he opposes the way the IDF is used for continuing an absurd policy. For this reason he has my respect.
