Zionists - please stop scaremongering and falsifying information. Here are a few facts that are true. 1. Iran DOES have a 25,000-strong (and ever growing) Jewish community. Jews have lived in Iran since at least 700BC. 2. Iran did have approx 80.000 Jews before the Shah of Iran was overthrown. Most of the Jews (70%) went to The United States, some went to Europe and only a few went to Israel! 3. Despite the absence of diplomatic ties with Israel, Iranian Jews frequently go there to visit relatives. There is no restriction for them travelling. 4. Evangelical Christians and Zionists have offered to bribe Iranian Jews up to £30,000 (US60,000) to move to Israel ? But the Iranian Jews want to stay. Iran's sole Jewish MP, Morris Motamed, said the offers were insulting and put the country's Jews under pressure to prove their loyalty. "It suggests the Iranian Jew can be encouraged to emigrate by money," he said. "Iran's Jews have always been free to emigrate.
