Governors Christie, Bush and Kasich band together to stay in the race by drawing blood from the frontrunners.10:18 07.02.16 | 0 comments
As a recent Oleh from the US, it is my experience that Israelis do not struggle every day with their Jewishness or its application to daily life. Some do, but the culture as a whole is one of expediency and short term approaches. There is no Jewish value being expressed in the know it all, obscenely rude, "me first", screw the rules, attitudes and expressed behaviors of the vast majority of Israelis. Not to mention an almost genetic inability to forgive or, worse yet, ask for forgiveness. I too first came to Israel in the late 70's, and did feel then a concern for our identity as a country. Not today. As a recent sudy showed, the more we get to know Israelis the less Israel feels like "home".
