The people of the Arab states, led by the young and educated have revolted against decades of autocratic rulers who have robbed them of dignity, justice, a voice in determining their future and economic opportunities. These are the same grievances that the Palestinians have against the occupying Israeli state. The malignant and ruinous occupation is the point of departure, not the democratization in the Arab world or in the "territories". The people of the Arab states who rail against their leaders are be expected to do no less in regards to the Israeli government which stands accused of the same transgressions against their 'brothers'.
