Netanyahu has always had a way with words, certainly as a speaker of English and, I presume, of his native tongue. I am sure that at least one or two former Presidents of the United States would wish to speak English half as well as Israel's current Prime Minister. Be that as it may, a trained sophist can be quite eloquent. Netanyahu would have us believe that "the Palestinians" (every single one of them? Has he talked to them all?) are not ready for peace. A subjugated, stateless people, which has been brutally bombarded, humiliated and infantilized by a latter-day colonial power, is according to the Prime Minister's at once hubristic and twisted logic wishing for more of the same. With "protectors" such as Netanyahu, do we Jews need enemies?
