So the army that protects and allows these warehouse squatters to be where they are and do what they do is also the army that for the cameras put on a little drama to show the public that Barak means what he says. The US sees removal of illegals is not only happendig on its shores and bushie has something to offer us as progress. The squatters have their role to play as well, hoping with the Wagnerian darkness as background music, the world will see this removal as a remake of "Schindler's List" with a role reversal in the role of villain. One wonders two things against this background: How soon will they be back? How will these fanatics ratched up the next phase? And hanging over it all, how could Israel, logistically carry out a serious removal of thousands, which is what needs to be done. A grey area here between logistics and will, if it is there other than for something meant to look real but is really staged.

Why the Jewish establishment won’t condemn the occupation

Unless more U.S. Jews who oppose the occupation become members of established Jewish organizations and donate money, the establishment is unlikely to heed calls of those who want it to condemn the occupation.
