This mayor is clearly trying, with all the tricks in his sleeves, to go expanding his settlement. He is covering this up with excuses disguised as niceties. Ariel, and the other settlements, are a clear violation of international law. A means, much more then an attempt, to push out the native Palestinian population. When will Haaretz, as a good newspaper, take the trouble to find out what de Palestinian neighbours think of this man of this Ariel. They may be in for a surprise. And how will this settlement be integrated in the Palestinian lands surrounding it? The two nations are condemned to each other. And all the settlements have made the two-states-solution next to impossible.
