So refreshing to read a critique of Israel that is not black-and white. I agree with the author on every single point she made. I abhor religious fanaticism and racism, no matter who practices them; it is indeed beyond ironic that a state founded as a solution to racial and religious persecution of a particular group should become controlled by an extremist faction that believes firmly in the racial and religious inferiority of everybody else on the planet! And indeed this has a boomerang whiplash effect, in the sense that it drives otherwise rational people to side with the Palestinian terrorist movements.
