It's unfortunate that this present Israeli Government does not see how imperative it is to strengthen the PA and President Abbas by convincing them that they are interested in peace. By continually rejecting the construction freeze in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, such regressiveness does not hold water to being sincere about peace. There's ample evidence that the previous Israeli governments would have negotiated a compromise with President Abbas because the three previous governments actually proposed peace offers with some parameters. In each and every case, there should have been continuation of negotiations and discussions on the core issues. There is nothing with PM Netanyahu's coalition - which only defers to a diplomatic impasse and mistrust.
