Jane shalom, I do not want to belabour the point, but you did not really respond to my argument. You cannot compare the situation of the US with that of Israel. Furthermore, many European countries have also passed quite restrictive family reunification laws recently. Background checks don't necessarily work because the terroris organizations would not send in someone who already has a record. It is quite likely that family reunification would be used to bring in some terrorists. I understand that you have Arab friends and that they are loyal. But that's like saying that loyal German Americans should have had the right to marry Germans during the war. I also find your position puzzling You favour total victory against the Arabs. How can you reconcile that with your position on this issue. I hope this gets out, and I am really, genuinely curious to see your response.
