Ivo, have you read Theodor Herzl's diaries? Or Jabotinsky's "O Zeleznoy Stene (1923)?" They and others honestly discuss the problem of colonisation and natives . Any dictionary will tell you that a "native," from the Latin NATIVUS, denotes a person who is born in the country in question. The Arabs who were living in Palestine and had been born there when the Jewish immigration began are the natives. Anyone who was born in Poland or Moldava, like Begin and Lieberman, or in Kiev, like Goldie Mabovitch, are not natives. The Arabs speak a language that has been spoken in that land for millennia, they have customs, they have cuisine, music, literature, etc. They are Middle Eastern. NOt Ethiopian. Not Brooklynese. Not Roumanian. You cannot have it both ways. As for war being a "legal" means of acquiring land, then US is entitled to own Iraq. The Arabs who have been exiled are still there, on the doorstep. No false "newspeak" definitions crafted in your mind will change that.
