Duncan, I said the Western boycott against Hamas doesn't make sense, because Hamas simply will get the money from either the Saudis or Iran. And a boycott, which is not strict enough, has usually no positive effect. No, rather negative ones, as we can see that both the Saudis and Iran are strengthening their (negative) influence in the region. But I have always said, that it is okay to punish those, who stand in the way of a peace- ful solution. However, from my point of view, that rule should apply to both sides of the conflict. So if the Israelis would elect a leader, who denies the Palestinians the right to have their own state, they should face exactly the same consequences as the Palestinians did. Would sound nothing but fair to me.
