post. I don't know what you mean by "counter flood", but Israel is a tad late in making demands at this point cause Olmert is not in the driver's seat; he is a passenger (Haaretz pointed that out in a thread not long ago). It appears that Cheney has been sidelined and Condi and her team now are gonna help Dubya with is shattered legacy, something which apparently concerns him a great deal. Well he and Bandar Bush and the King are gonna patch up a Pal state, so it appears, in a tradeoff for helping Bush get out of the wringer and to keep the oil flowing uninterrupted. You will recall the King summoned Cheney, who flew over and straight back with a message. The exact msg is unknown, however, apparently underlies a different attitude with respect to this mess. After Lebanon, Iraq & Afghan, Bush needs Arab help and Arabs want peace btwn the cousins over there in Pal land. Regards.

No special treatment for rapist ex-president Katsav's clemency bid, Rivlin says

The President's Residence clarifies that a new clemency request has yet to be filed following reports that Moshe Katsav's mental state has deteriorated after a parole board refused to shorten his prison sentence.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin, February 16, 2016.

If Merkel also criticizes Israel, life is not a piece of cremeschnitte

The Israeli reaction to Der Spiegel's report on the German chancellor's frustration with Netanyahu was ridiculous, even Orwellian; as if Israelis were aliens who had just landed from another planet.
