The bombing of the Russian airliner reflects the long conflict between Islamic extremists and Egypt that has spread south to the coastal fantasy land.21:26 25.11.15 | 0 comments
President Carter took up the Afghan cause on the initiative of Brzezinski (Kepel, The War for Muslim Minds, Harvard U. Press, 2004, p. 51). Brzezinski, in his own words, deliberately sponsored an effort at giving the USSR its own Vietnam War, and he commented later on these efforts: "What was more important in the world view of history? The Taliban or the fall of the Soviet Empire? A few stirred-up Muslims or the end of the Cold War?" It is true that Reagan-era conservatives took up the cause, but Brzezinski laid the foundations and provided the blueprint for "stirred-up Muslims" giving the USSR its Vietnam, in his own self-damning words.
