Israel can only try him for crimes committed in Israel. That's the way jurisdiction works. It would be illegal for Israel to try it. The best Israel can do is extradite him to the US, assuming the evidence meets the requirements. Forget a no extradition policy. If a Jew commits a crime like this, let him face the consequences. No reason for Israel to protect him.
