Real Swiss, as you should know by now, once in a while one should take my words with a pinch of salt....:) I don't believe for a second that the Swiss army would do much better if confronted with a simi- lar situation. However, I do believe indeed that if the Swiss voters would have found themselves in the same situation as the Israelis over the past decades, they probably would have shown a bit more (political) wisdom to force their governements into accepting (painful) compromises than the Israeli people did. And that has one (main) reason: The non-existence of ideological thinking in Switzerland, or in other words, the secular face of our country.
