Mark, Syria might not want a war, but it is unfortunately being manipulated by Iran. I would really like to think that Iran is not a serious threat, but there is very little evidence of that. Iran is behind Syria, Hizbollah, Hamas; Iran and Syria are being armed by others. The Sunni powers in the region are worried. No one knows exactly how far the tentacles of the network have spread. Peace is always preferable to war. Unfortunately, Iran does not seem to be willing to pay the price for peace.
