I remember 9/11 with horror but I am also horrified over the fact that in the face of 9/11 the US destroyed Iraq causing somewhere around one million deaths, at least 4 million refugees and an untold number of maimed. I am horrified that during the Vietnam war the US was responsible for the deaths of between 2 and 3 million Vietnamese. I am horrified by the fact that the US is, as Martin Luther King so aptly stated, "the greatest purveyor of violence in the world." 9/11 as horrible as it was should have been a wake-up call to America, a wake-up call saying that America cannot always have its way and cannot continue its killing. Today's drone attacks are part of America's continuing to make more enemies.
