The alleged "slaughter" is alot of nonsense that Israel bashers like to spout, but reality is another factor that such people don't care to face. The Hezbollah lost about 800 of their finest compared to about 45 of Israel's military. Lebanon suffered about 2.5 billion dollars worth of infrastucture damage - a major earthquake to their economy, while Israel lost about 1.5 billion dollars damage to its roads ,highways and other structures(buildings,etc.). The loss of Israeli civilians was about 100. But the war was barely a blip on its economy. This "slaughter" was barely one that the Hezbollah and Lebanon could barely afford.
