Don- I am glad you agree. The main argument advanced by the extreme left is Palestinian unity and demographics, forgetting that Palestinian society is quite fractured by clan, politics, and religion, and Kadima's proposals re-shape the eventual state of Israel into a Jewish majority. Palestinian unity, considering the opportunities given them so far to create a state that have failed, is one of the great myths of the left's view of this conflict. Ernie- If you consider the election results in Israel you will see most Israelis see no partner for peace, and just want separation from the Palestinians and to concentrate on Israeli social issues. The Palestinians have blown every opportunity for peace since Oslo.
