    Dear Peter, Thank you for your reply to my post. I didn?t understand your main point. I suspect what you are driving is that criticism of Israel implies anti-Semitism on the part of those who criticize. I would not want to underestimate the forces of anti-Semitism, for I know it exists and it is deeply repugnant. But is its source significantly different from other forms of racial prejudice generally? Does our tendency to want to stick with our own kind provide an instinctual basis for the distrust of others, which can mutate into offensive forms of prejudice? I don?t know. And I am sure there are those who would take the opportunity to switch to full-bloodied anti-Semitism if the moment was right. What I am concerned about is that the miss-use of the label anti-Semite will lose its inhibiting effect on genuinely anti-Semitic behaviour. That would be a disservice to the forces bringing the races and ethnic groups together. So could I ask you Peter to be more discerning in your use of the label? Regards
