Maria, I wish that all schools could require decent clothing. Some are actually setting up dress codes. Too many girls are emulating Paris Hilton and Britney Spears, who not only dress in a slatternly fashion, they expose their privates, they drink like sailors, they take drugs, they have sex on video tape. Disgusting. Modest clothing can be attractive and comfortable, simple lines, no exposure of the navel (especially if it is pierced!), no buttocks popping out of skin tight short shorts. Especially gross are the chubbies, with flabby flesh flapping from their midriff-revealing tops. I hate being next to one of those when I am in a crowd. And let us not forget the young men, with their baggy pants that are falling off, revealing the crack in the back. Or those who sport tank tops, with the icky arm pit and chest and back hair sticking out. Although I am not in favor of forced cover-up, I do wish that there would be some standards of decorum.
