Hi Jeff, I think what Fayad is talking about is the survival of the PA government. I think he's trying to point out that his government is still very iffy right now and may not have much popular support among the Palestinian people. I think what he's trying to communicate to Haaretz readers is what might help his government survive. Abbas took a huge risk going to war with Hamas, and throwing them out of the PA government. I guess we'll see if anything actually changes and if Fayad's government survives.
