Yael Patir, Israel director of the left-leaning U.S. Jewish body, sat down with Haaretz to talk about Trump, the gap between U.S. and Israeli Jews, and the growing anger at the Israeli peace camp. Though she concedes boycott efforts by some on the left have a negative effect, she rejects calls to keep peace efforts local.01:12 01.05.16 | 2 comments
It's interesting you should mention the "zionist migration" of the 1800's. Are you at all aware of the cause of that great movement? That the shtetl's of Russian Jews were the focus of constant conflagration, that Jews were forced out of their homes, forced to leave and wander like refugees? Have you forgotten that the 2nd world war was yet another attempt to annihilate world Jewry, and that nearly all of Europe cooperated? Your solution is completely absurd, but most people wouldn't know it because they choose to make decisions not on history and analysis but on the popular vote. I just hope your vote doesn't prove to grip the populus.
