I thought the generation who had fought during WWII had fought for freedom. In which case as odious as Irvines views are he should be allowed to express them regardless of peoples outrage. Otherwise we might as well be living under Nazi rule. Just because you don't agree with someone doesn't mean that they should not be allowed to say it. And let's face it this week Israel is trying to prevent Irvine speaking at a university. Last week it was Ahmedinejad. Next week it will probably be Jimmy Carter. Even Livni turned up at the Columbia university to express her outrage when the President of the United States said let Ahmedinejad speak.
