"The Left has a lot of money to be able to send a delegation to speak with Peres." Larry Indeed it does have money, yet total donations for 2008 to J-Street from all sources were less than a million dollars so it seems their intellectual capital as well as the breadth of views they represent [as opposed to aipac and their Likud viewpoint] are what elevates J-Street, rather than their wealth. As for your suggestion that Arabs may have a big hand in J-Street. Nice try but no cigar. "Even the original Jerusalem Post article on J Street's funding, from which so many of the smear emails have sprung, said: 'The funds that come from these sources [Arab and Muslim Americans] indeed constitute a small fraction of the year and a half old organization's political fundraising..." "a quick review will show that nearly all our top donors are leading American Jewish philanthropists and political activists." "JStreetPAC, by law, reports all of its thousands of donors to the Federal Election Commission, and those reports can be publicly reviewed on the website of the Federal Election Commission." You say that J Street appears to have an Arab agenda. ["since J Street and the Arabs share the same agenda" Larry] Whatever your agenda is Larry, it is some way from telling the truth isn't it?

Why we don't know how to pick our leaders

Our craving for ideology means that we are partial to ideological leaders. But we need leaders who will make smart decisions that are aligned with the public interest.
