At this time, 1) 40 years after Israel's preemptive 1967 strikes against the Palestinians, and 2) 59 years after the reconstruction of Israel, when many Palestinians were dispossessed from their homes, the majority of Palestinians do want peace. However, it is impossible to gain peace without the "Return of Occupied Land". That's what Hamas is fighting for. Somehow, many Israelis have a self-centered view of peace. To them, it means that the Arab population gets all of the arid land, none of the water resources, cantonization of Palestine, and military Occupation.
