Cristian and Alan, Of course, you are both right these killings are atrocious and must be condemned by all. But please remember it was the Israeli Army's unlawful presence that caused Palestinians to take up arms in the first place and it is the Israeli army's vviolence that has contributed to making Palestinian society more violent too. Please not the comment by the American Dr. Alice Rothchild on the impact of the Israeli Army's operations and violence upon Palestinian youth in a recent study by the Gaza mental Heath group; "A recent study by the program of 10- to 19-year-olds in Gaza found that two-thirds have seen a friend or neighbor killed or wounded, more than one-third have been tear-gassed and 82 percent suffer from moderate to severe PTSD. We know that the more trauma and violence occur in a child's youth, the more risk-taking and violence happen in later life." Her report can be read at http://www.vopj.org/conflict22.htm Thus it goes without saying violence breeds violence and the Israeli Army's activities in the territories are actually placing Israeli society at more risk for more violence in the future as these children act out. Thanks, Dutch
