Dear Alex, why not letting Jonathan be. He's a Jew, he belongs to a persecuted minority. He does not love us Germans, because we have other friends than he'd like us to choose, or because of what we are. Why should we force him to love us. I'm not really fond of German culture either. His concern regarding Israel is greater than ours, I think that's only normal. If anti-semitism increases here again, it is him who will have the problem. Just let him criticise Germany. After all, he also lives here: If through his words certain aspects of living conditions in Germany might deteriorate, he'll be concerned himself as well. He must know how to be responsible for himself in the best way.
