Jane, you are totally wrong about this one. Every country on the face of this earth can determine its family reunification laws. Family reunification is not an absolute right. It is not an absolute right in any country. Forty four per cent of Palestinians voted for a terrorist organization called Hamas. The Palestinian territories are at war with Israel. No country has the obligation to allow entry into its territory of aliens from an enemy territory. I do not understand how you fail to see this. Furthermore, there are exceptions to the law. People can take advantage of that exceptions if they so wish.
