I think the disconnect is where you get to drop bombs on their kids while you tell them not to shoot at yours. Their rockets hit empty dessert, yours his people and houses. That is what they don't get. Why is it OK for you to kill them for being seen from the border, but it's not OK for them to shoot back? Maybe if you explain it in simpler words without the false claim that you didn't mean to his the kids and other noncombatants you can't seem to miss every time.
