    http://www.pcpsr.org/survey/polls/2009/p33e2.html apparently hamas isn't as representative of the palestinian people as you seem to think. the numbers for ALL questions are pretty enlightening... and MOST tend to favor abbas and fateh... but items 12-17 are of special interest in regards to abbas/fateh vs haniyeh/hamas. seems to me that according to this poll, president abbas DOES indeed speak for the majority of palestinians. by the way, there's a VERY interesting little tidbit worth noting about this poll. if you look at the numbers for the gazans, they tend to be higher in favor of abbas, fateh, the peace initiative, and concessions for peace; than do the numbers from the west bank. this certainly DOESN'T reflect well on hamas, now does it? http://www.pcpsr.org/survey/polls/2009/p33e2.html
